Spoken article quality assessment[edit]

Version reviewed: As of 24 January 2009

Technical quality: High

  • No background noise. Excellent!
  • A few mic knocks, but they are not very loud or overly distracting.
  • No obvious clicks or edit seams.
  • Introduction is present and well done, as is the end licence statement.

Clarity: High

  • Well-paced and consistent in tone and style.
  • Enunciation is clear, though the reader may wish to consider a pop filter to reduce some noticeable plosives (example: at 7:50.5).

Accuracy: High/Medium

  • Inflection is clear and well-used.
  • Accuracy is very high overall. An error in a quote is present, however, in the "Reception and legacy" section; "a good few kicks" is read as "a few good kicks". As this is a quote and the error changes the meaning of the sentence, it may be considered a "serious" error.
  • Although it is not always necessary to read the contents of infoboxes, the infobox did contain information not in the body of the article. Perhaps this information could have been be incorporated.

Reviewed by: Overall, superb job! And extra marks for editing the article prior to recording; it's always good to cast a critical eye over an article before preserving a spoken version! Maedin\talk 17:32, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Maedin. I have re-uploaded the file after fixing that error and running a click-removal filter on the entire track. EnviroboyTalkCs 22:12, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
